Natsuki looked more than disgruntled, her arms crossed, her brown eyes glowering at the woman before her. Just because she was the team leader, the sensei, everyone respected her and followed her without question. Stupid, really... like lemmings lead around. Natsuki would not be so pathetically inclined to adhere to any rules she didn't see a point to. The fifteen year old flicked her red hair saucily inclining her head as she listened to the woman before her babble on and on about the dangers of overusing chakra.
"Listen, you can't just train at a level above the one you are at. You are not capable of learning any techniques further until you can master at least the basic ones I already gave you to practice." Kazue shook her head at her upset student, "So you can walk on water and hit a moving target with a shuriken.. just how many others can do even better?"
"Oh shut up, you know I can do better than anyone else on my team and in our graduating class. I hear the whispers between the other teachers," Natsuki snapped, placing her hands on her hips. "The chuunin exams are coming, and I don't care if the team wants to wait one more year."
"Well, you should," Kazue frowned, shaking her head, her voice as calm and level as ever. "Your team is important. Missions like collecting garbage or seeking lost pets may not seem that way, but in the field on C and B level missions, teamwork is required. If you aren't looking out for--"
"Look out for them! A sloth-girl with no imagination and a scaredy-cat boy with a stutter? I want to push myself. I want to go farther. I want more than just babysitting missions for the next year of my life!" Natsuki shouted, "I want to be trained for the Chuunin exams, and I will even go it alone if the team is too afraid." The red haired teen seethed, making fists with her hands.
"For the last time, no," Kazue said, raising a hand dismissively. "I can train you further if you like, but you will learn at the speed I choose to train you at. And you will not be part of the exams coming up. I will not recommend you; Natsuki, you are sharp, a fast learner, but going too fast will make you miss out on important basics and understanding the importance of a team. I don't think you are ready." She looked somewhat apologetically, but her features were stern, unyielding.
"Then, I'll show you. I'll prove it and you will have to let me.." Natsuki snarled, pressing her hands together. She made the series of five seals quickly, Boar to Dragon and the loud crackle and light of electricity could be heard. Her brown eyes gleamed with determination, desperation, and anger. "Raiton: Jibashi..!" Natsuki exclaimed, aiming the strike towards her sensei. She intended for the lightning to be a small burst, enough to hit the woman off her feet and catch her off guard, maybe even numb that stupid face of her's. Kazue gave a cry, moving her hands quickly but not so enough: the tall middle aged woman fell backwards, struck by a powerful pulse of raiton and hit the ground with a resonating thud.
Kazue's body twitched, shuddering hard twice before staying perfectly, hauntingly still. Natsuki smirked, letting her hands fall to her sides. After a moment, when her sensei had still not moved to speak or to stand, an eerie foreboding feeling filled her. She examined the body quickly, noting the woman's pulse was gone. Her hands shook, and she felt her stomach turn over inside as she realized her jutsu had killed her sensei. And then it hit her, as she looked frantically around the empty training grounds: the ANBU of Kumogakure would be sure to learn who was at fault here, and Natsuki would be trapped in a dungeon at best for the rest of her days. Why? It wasn't even her fault! They gave her this stupid woman who couldn't even protect herself from a child's jutsu! The woman who refused to train her or help her.. an altogether worthless team leader! Natsuki slammed her fists into the ground hard, pounding her anger out before taking a deep breath and standing up.
She removed her white flak jacket and drew out a kunai. She sliced open her arm without even flinching, and stabbed it into her jacket a few times to tear it up. Then Natsuki moved to carry her sensei, shunshinning away from the training grounds to the edge of the tall mountain. The girl paused, looking at her sensei, the woman she could not stand for so long, the woman who had held her back and the woman who was now responsible for ruining her future.
"Idiot," Natsuki finally breathed, letting any guilt she carried fall away, slipping into the deep recesses of her mind or into thin air. She lifted the woman enough to push her off the edge, throwing her torn bloodied flak jacket with it. If and when the body was found, she knew it was likely to be determined that she herself had also been killed. Natsuki put the kunai back into her pouch and removed the forehead protector from its place on her right arm. She didn't make a slash over it, she wasn't abandoning her home or turning against them in her mind.. so the teen simply put it into her pouch as well before making her way out of Kumogakure; her brown eyes were set forward on the road ahead, knowing she could not return to this place.
