While her attention was originally garnered by her old classmate, Jinora, the entire show was directed to the brunette that now gushed faux peppy-excitement. One eyebrow arched, grey eyes curiously gazing at the woman who took her hand so easily and with such familiarity. Rinoa's gaze searched and scanned her features until she recalled that this woman, just as well as the Hyuuga, was a former classmate of hers.
The Uchiha did her best to bite her tongue, she did not entirely feel pleasant at this moment. Here she was trying to express a certain genuine care to her partner, yet the party was crashed. Since when was her name a hot commodity throughout Konohagakure? This was something she would have to jest with the Hokage next time she spoke to him.
"Congratulations? What ever do you mean?" Rinoa asked Kageri.
She looked pasted the brunette and with her free hand waved at Jinora. "Don't just stand about!" she insisted, gesturing for her to come closer and try and sit. She would need the help if she needed to talk to Kageri.
Jinora smiled brightly as she waved happily towards the dark haired newcomer. She eyes moved between Itashui and Kageri, she could feel the pressure between the two shinobi. Was their something between these two that she had missed? A history? The Hyuga wrote it off as she nervously adjusted a bit of hair behind her ear. " Rinoa!" "Kageri!" "How have you been?" Jinora asked as she moved towards the table in front of her, she adjusted her flak jacket slightly. She turned towards Rinoa and sat down across from her, "Its been awhile since we have all not been on an active mission, the beauties of the leaf all in one teashop heh, won't the boys be jealous." As the Hyugian mentioned boys she would look towards Itashui with a brief look of slight disgust. She remembered this Uchiha and wasn't shy at showing it. Inside she secretly admired the Uchiha but she wasn't going to give Itashui the satisfaction. She looked back towards Kageri as she responded.

"Shit..." He inwardly groaned, thankful the waitress was at least swift enough to pour more tea into his empty cup as quickly as he flagged her down. That was truly all he was appreciative for, at the moment, for both the Hyuuga woman and the unusual female advanced on Itashui and Rinoa. She wasn't unusual in that he distinctively picked up on the distance she put between the bubbly Hyuuga counterpart and herself, he'd find her peculiar soon enough.
It wasn't until she sat at the table that Itashui noticed the lackluster detail of her irises, as if the expressed jubilation wasn't authentic. The more prominent detail that attracted his scrutiny had been the faintly-subtle smirk and glance in his direction, to which his obsidian orbs squinted indirectly in a glare. "Huh, clever girl." He mused, words physically mirrored with a verbally-profound scoff. Was she finding humor in his despair? He needed more evidence. Gaze averting to his partner, he'd notice the quirk of her brow, the general confusion of her character. That aided in his speculation that, perhaps, Rinoa wasn't really friendly with this female? And, maybe, his analysis was a tad correct? For now, he remained his usual, reticent self, observing the casual conversation between 'friends' - classmate acquaintances was likely the better definition of this femme trio.
Alas, what was all the congratulations about? The mouthing previously slipped from his watchful vision, eluded his honed ears. It was a silent gesture motioned through Kageri's lips, after all. This really wasn't his cup of tea, so to speak, his brow furling at the offended expression upon Jinora's face. What the hell was that about? And, hah, Rinoa would pick this sort of foul company. So, with a fairly tenuous scrunched face, a weak and almost-unnoticeable indication of this ongoing turbulence, he'd delve into his actual cup of tea; deft fingers entwined around the loop of the handle, hand ascending so that the rim of the mug pressed softly against his pale lips. Steam rolled against his sharp and alabaster visage, and for a brief moment he'd let the cup of tea linger there, tilting to sip more of that hot, enticing beverage into his maw. He didn't swallow yet, letting it cool as he, himself, aimed to regain his once rigidly formal composure.
Surely there was nothing else ridiculous to say or do, right?

Kura bolted through the passing of the Forest into the village; she knew the place well. Since falling Hono, she knew just about every place and this place he sent her was just today.
She burst through the door of the shop.
In a howl she beckoned, "I need Itashui of the Konoha Police Force. Or someone from the Force.. Please, Hono of the Uzumaki Clan he attempt to seal a Bijuu in order to prevent a rampage. He sent me to warn the village if anything went wrong, but I am freaking out. He was in no condition to help. Oh God, IS ITASHUI EVEN FUCKING HERE? I NEED HELP NOW."
She was a talking fox babbling about Bijuu, some people laughed, "Please, he was fight Kumo Nin who had a jar containing the Bijuu. The Seal was breaking, we need to go help him or something. Summon the damn cavalry if you must."
Character List:
Uzumaki, Hono - Grand Leader of the Uzumaki & the Seven-Tails Jinchuuriki
Kageri's eyes moved between the two Uchiha, studying their language both spoken unspoken. Was it possible that her initial observation about the state of their relationship was incorrect? No, of course not. Ebony eyes met obsidian as her gaze caught Itashui's and her smile grew.
They didn't know.
The Uchiha clan were far from stupid, and despite the confusion on the two faces before her she knew that their clan wouldn't possibly miss the chemistry between the two of them. If Kageri had to place a bet on it, she would happily offer her life savings on the two of them being engaged within a year's time.
The jounin reclined in her chair, casually draping an arm over the back of her seat and her eyes moved over to the Hyuugan girl. “I have a feeling their jealousy will only increase when the wedding is announced, don't you think?” she remarked cryptically. It was unlikely that any – save for perhaps Itashui, he did seem far more perceptive than the rest – would understand the meaning behind her words, but that only served to amuse Kageri further.
Kageri's gaze now fell firmly on the Hyuugan and the pang of familiarity ate away at her stomach – the bright, wide eyes of the girl were of course familiar, but anybody who had any contact with the Hyuugan clan at all would know those eyes. Kageri held the woman's gaze unabashedly for a beat longer before she was able to place where she knew that happy disposition from.
The Academy.
How long had it been since she had even thought of her academy days? Kageri had tried her best to forget about that time of her life as all it brought was painful regret – if she could take a look then and see what she would become now, she was almost certain she would quit going to school on the spot. When she was younger she would always train with her friends, knowing that her family was waiting for her when she came back home. And now? She spent most of her days training in solitude with only a bottle of spirits to greet her when she was done.
The amused smile that graced her face had been long since replaced with a hollow smile.
Kageri was pulled from her thoughts when a fox bounded through the doors howling for the Uchiha man, and she listened with an impassive expression to the animal's pleas.
“I'm sure that between you three that you're more than capable of handling this.” she stated blandly, leaning heavily on the walls she had built up over a lifetime to guard her emotions.
Without any further preamble Kageri stood from her spot, only barely glancing at her table-mates as she did. “Well, don't let me keep you any further, go save the world or whatever it is that you do. Don't keep the rodent waiting.” The words that fell from her lips were dripping with sarcasm and disdain, the two poisons that Kageri favored when the side she would rather hide from the world threatened to make itself known, and with that she moved carefully past the small animal and exited the shop.
The smile that rested on Kageri's features, albeit only for a moment as brief as it was, did not settle Rinoa's nerves by any means necessary. Paired with her former classmate and old team member, Jinora, facial expression, she could only assume the worst from the two.
While she had opened her mouth, quick to lick a retort at the brunette, she was once again interrupted. By Kami, was there ever going to be a chance that the porcelain maiden would be able to get a word in while in this tea shop?
Her eyes drifted over to see the small fox speaking, though not to her surprise. However it was the context in which the fox was speaking that caught her. Honō was already in trouble? Hadn't she seen him only moments ago, and surely didn't he state he was to see the Hokage? How the Grand Leader of the Uzumaki clan became so sidetracked that he was now dealing with Kumo Nin, the very same threat that Rinoa and Itashui had dealt with on their last mission, she would never know.
Without sparing a glance at her partner, as though she was certain he would rise too, she stood from her seat and pushed away from the table. No words were spared to Kageri or Jinora. Rinoa's hands went to her waist to grab the pair of leather gloves that she usually donned during missions as she made her way towards the animated fox. "Take me to him," she urged, "to Honō."
Jinora smiled happily, as she enjoyed the much needed female company. Her pale eyes shifted between Kageri and Rinoa as she listened the other. The Hyuga would tuck a bit of hair behind her ear as she listened on, the rolling overtones of the shops inhabitants and customers droning out much of their conversation.
The young kunoichi would lift the tea cup up to her subtle lips, before she sipped from her tea she would blow on it slightly in a effort to cool the sweet tea to avoid burning her tongue. Her eyes then shifted towards the male Uchiha, her pale gaze unwavering as she surveyed his visage. She tried to turn her attention towards Kageri and Rinoa, in an unconscious effort to avoid embarrassment. She would glance away only to be drawn back towards his eyes. Those eyes which in an instant could destroy her, oh how she was attracted to those red eyes.
As she continued to struggle paying attention to the girls beside her, a small fox broke the conversation. Jinora looked between Kageri and Rinoa gaging their reaction, ready to follow at a moments notice.
She heard Rinoa's reply and she shifted and stood up besides her. "Rinoa, let me join you old friend. With my eyes we can find him faster as he is injured. " She stated as she clipped her ninja pack as she secured it with a tug. "Lets go!"

Sipping on the tea, his eyes darted back and forth, analyzing the women who basically swarmed him during his peaceful work break. Tension was evident in the air, even amongst the classmates. Thankfully he gulped his tea before the sly hint of a marriage proposal escaped Kageri's lips. He irregularly blinked, coming to the realization that she had meant Rinoa and Itashui's 'engagement.' Rolling his eyes, he'd vehemently scoff. "There's no wedding... There will never be." He muttered lowly, appreciative that the next disruption would ward the mischievous Nara woman away from the fray, so to speak. Though, even with the disdain and sarcasm, the lack of eye-contact might have alluded that Kageri was distant? Hm, a strange woman indeed.
Did his luck turn for better... or for worse...? A fox barged into the tea shop (definitely akin to an elephant in the room, Itashui thought). It was his break from conversation, given the animal addressed him, specifically. Strange, though, how Hono managed to have meddled in trouble so swiftly? Itashui grimaced as the creature began to yell, her voice like nails on a chalkboard. But, he arose like Rinoa, not uttering a word. His partner voiced enough, and he didn't require any more information, least, not at the moment. Jinora, staring at his oculars, decided to follow and accompany the fox and the two of the Police Force. He might have known of her hidden feelings - depended on if he observed her facial features before. But, for now he was unsure and focused on the predicament. His gear was already strapped along his side, and now standing juxtaposition of the animal summon, Itashui would await for the trek to rescue Hono. While he disliked the thought of returning to work later than scheduled, he was sure his commanding officers would understand. But, for now, they'd address this issue.
He also made sure to put his payment for the tea against the table for the waitress, including a small tip.

While she was acutely aware of Jinora's voice stating that she was going to accompany the Uchiha Two Man Team, Rinoa didn't seem to acknowledge it what so ever. Instead, her eyes briefly flashed behind her, grey eyes seeking onyx. As her sights landed on her partner, the faintest smirk ghosted across her features, before she shunshined out of the tea shop to catch up to the scampering fox that had left the store moments before.
The Hyuga would drop a currency note to pay for the party as she rose from her table. Her pale eyes danced between Rinoa and Itashui as she followed Rinoa out of the tea shop. As she made her way to the street, she focused slight chakra in her feet as she kicked off the ground hard jumping building top to building top.
Jinora would form a slight gesture as she weaved a hand-sign. "Byakugan" As she spoke her once pale eyes would widen and several veins could be seen bulging. She followed behind Rinoa taking point.

As Kura the fox scampered out of the tea shop, Rinoa, Jinora and Itashui went to follow and trail the creature. Before they exited the restaurant, Itashui's eyes locked with Rinoa's and he couldn't help but wonder what she might have planned. Whether the smirk caught his attention or not, he couldn't fathom what was in store, but mimicked their movements, exiting the shop in a quick, hurried fashion.
